Route Description
Amtrak’s Wolverine travels daily in both directions between Chicago, Illinois and Pontiac, Michigan via Detroit, Michigan.
In Detroit you may make your own arrangements to take the short trip across the Detroit River into Windsor, Ontario, Canada where you can hook up with the VIA Rail Canada system.
The May 2010 Amtrak published rail travel distance between Chicago and Pontiac on the Wolverine Route is 304 miles. The published rail travel time is about 7-1/2 hours.
