Route Description
Amtrak’s Hoosier State travels in both directions between Chicago and Indianapolis supplementing Amtrak's Cardinal Service. The train runs on the days of the week that the long distance Cardinal doesn’t make the run on its way to Chicago or New York.
The rail travel distance between Indianapolis and Chicago on the Hoosier State Route is about 200 miles. The rail travel time is just over 4 hours.
