Numbers 1-7 on the map represent the Heartland Flyer's currently scheduled stops. Using the following links you can either choose to tour the entire route between Oklahoma City and Fort Worth, or hop on the train at any station along the way and proceed in either direction from there. Click here to start at the beginning or click on one of the stations listed below to start from there.

Each "station stop" includes a photo of the station, a street map of the station area and local transportation information.  It also includes a "signature photo" and links to other information of interest.  Between the station pages there are detailed station to station maps and links to all of the counties that you pass through along the way.

Amtrak Route Description

The following has been extracted from Amtrak's "Heartland Flyer" Route Description.  

"The Heartland Flyer offers convenient, affordable, daily service between Oklahoma City and Fort Worth. In Fort Worth, connections are available to Dallas, Chicago and San Antonio via the Texas Eagle.

Catch a rodeo in Oklahoma City, the "Horse Show Capital of the World." You can also learn about Native American history at the Red Earth Indian Center, and tour the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum".

The rail travel distance between Oklahoma City and Fort Worth via the Heartland Flyer is just over 200 miles. The rail travel time is about 4 hours and 15 minutes.
