Not all Capitol Corridor trains stop at all stations and a change of trains is required to travel the entire route. Refer to the latest Amtrak Schedule for the scheduled stops of the train(s) that you are taking.

"Whether traveling around Northern California for business or pleasure, skip the traffic and parking hassles and take the train. Amtrak Capitol Corridor provides convenient, frequent, affordable daily service between the Sacramento region and the Bay Area, and many places in between."
The approximate rail travel distance between Auburn and San Jose via the Capitol Corridor Route is 168 miles. The rail travel time between Auburn and Sacramento is about 1 hour and the rail travel time between Sacramento and San Jose is a little over 3 hours.
