Silver Meteor and Palmetto Routes Added!Last month a Route Guide for the Silver Star, Amtrak Trains 91 and 92 was added to Rail Passenger USA. This month we've completed the Route Guides for the two trains that comprise Amtrak's "Silver Service" by adding the Silver Meteor, Amtrak trains 97 and 98. The Palmetto, Amtrak Trains 89 and 90, has also been added This trio of trains provide service from New York City to the south serving parts of the Northeast Corridor, Virginia, the Carolinas, Georgia and Florida along the way. The Palmetto provides service only as far south as Savannah, Georgia, while the Silver Star and Silver Meteor travel all the way to Miami. Each train serves a few cities not served by either of the other two. For example, the Palmetto stops in Quantico and Fredericksburg, VA and Dillon, South Carolina and the Silver Star makes a westward swing in Florida providing service to the Tampa area.
