Silver Service: Silver Star Route Guide Added!A Route Guide for the Silver Star, Amtrak Train Nos. 91 and 92, has been added to the Rail Passenger USA library. The Silver Star travels daily in both directions between New York City and Miami, Florida. The Silver Star's sister train, the Silver Meteor, travels between the same two cities but serves different cities and towns south of Rocky Mount, NC. The Silver Meteor, the Palmetto and Auto Train Route Guides will be added to the Rail Passenger USA library in March. Collectively these three trains and the Silver Star are referred to by Amtrak as the "Silver Service". Just south of Rocky Mount, at Selma Smithfield, the Silver Star heads northwest to Raleigh/Cary, NC before heading south to Southern Pines, NC. From Selma Smithfield the Silver Meteor continues southwest to Fayetteville, NC. The following list shows the cities and towns served by one train but not the other.

Denver, CO to Sacramento, CA to Portland, OR to La Crosse, WI to Chicago, IL and back to Denver.
