Coast Starlight Route Added!

The Coast Starlight Slide Show has now been added to "Routes Currently Included". The Coast Starlight is a train that you must ride if you enjoy the ocean because of the spectacular views from the train in Southern California.

You'll also view some great west coast mountain scenery. The train travels on the western side of, and through, the Cascade Range in parts of Washington, Oregon and Northern California. Mt. St. Helens is about 20 miles east of Kelso-Longview, WA and there are some great views of Mt. Shasta just north of Redding, CA.

Hop off in the San Francisco Bay Area if you wish, and enjoy the sites there for a couple of days. I think someone once left his heart there, besides this area is loaded with history and a great place to visit.

If you don't know the way to San Jose, you'll know after this trip. South of San Jose you'll travel through rich farmland where you will see some of the produce grown that stocks many of the supermarket shelves in this nation today.

After leaving San Luis Obispo, the ocean views are just ahead in Santa Barbara and Ventura Counties. Once you get to Los Angeles, you may wish to continue southbound on the Pacific Surfliner for more great ocean viewing.
