Capitol Corridor
The Rail
Passenger USA 'Capitol Corridor Route Guide' has been added to our
set of USA Regional Route Guides this month. The Capitol Corridor
trains travel daily (in segments) in both
directions between Auburn, California and San Jose, California. The
trains travel via Sacramento, the California State Capitol,
serving both large and small communities along their way including
several San Francisco Bay Area 'East Bay' cities.

High Speed Rail Awards
On Monday,
May 9, 2011, the U.S.
Department of Transportation announced the award of $2.02 billion for
continuing the development of high-speed intercity passenger
rail.
