Amtrak Survives CR Bill HR1 - Amendment 43

An amendment to reduce Amtrak's 2011 capital grant by $446 million (Amendment No. 43 to the U.S. House of Representatives Continuing Resolution [CR] Bill HR1) failed in a House vote, with 176 "ayes" and 250 "nays" on February 18/19, 2011.

The Continuing Resolution Bill HR1 makes "budget appropriations for the Department of Defense and the other departments and agencies of the Government for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2011, and for other purposes". You can download the final bill
